Governor's Program

The Governor’s Official Program is comprised of a wide range of constitutional and legal duties and ceremonial and community engagements. Each year, the Governor hosts thousands of visitors to Government House to take part in investiture and award ceremonies, Open Days, receptions and meetings, and travels widely throughout Queensland to support the activities of Patron groups. On Tuesday, in the morning, at Government House, His Excellency the Honourable Paul de Jersey AC and Mrs Kaye de Jersey received the Ambassador of the Russian Federation to Australia, His Excellency Dr Alexey Pavlovsky, and Mrs Olga Pavlovskaya, accompanied by the Attaché, Embassy of the Russian Federation, Ms Svetlana Vorobeva and Honorary Consul-General of the Russian Federation, Mrs Irina Bruk.

Following, at St Joseph’s College, Gregory Terrace, Spring Hill, His Excellency attended St Joseph’s College Scholars’ Assembly, and the Governor addressed students and guests and presented awards.

In the afternoon, at Government House, His Excellency and Mrs de Jersey received a briefing and hosted an afternoon reception for the Advisory Board of the Committee for Brisbane, and the Governor addressed guests.
