The Governor’s Official Program is comprised of a wide range of constitutional and legal duties and ceremonial and community engagements. Each year, the Governor hosts thousands of visitors to Government House to take part in investiture and award ceremonies, Open Days, receptions and meetings, and travels widely throughout Queensland to support the activities of Patron groups. On Sunday, in the morning, at the Shrine of Remembrance, ANZAC Square, His Excellency the Honourable Paul de Jersey AC attended the 2021 Anzac Day Dawn Service, addressed guests and laid the first wreath.
Following, at Government House, His Excellency hosted breakfast for senior defence and service representatives.
Following, at the Cathedral of St Stephen, Brisbane, His Excellency and Mrs Kaye de Jersey attended the Anzac Day Mass.
Following, at King George Square, Brisbane, His Excellency and Mrs de Jersey attended the Anzac Day Parade, where the Governor read the First Resolution and reviewed the Parade.
In the afternoon, at the United Service Club, Spring Hill, His Excellency attended the Anzac Day Lunch.
