Governor's Program

The Governor’s Official Program is comprised of a wide range of constitutional and legal duties and ceremonial and community engagements. Each year, the Governor hosts thousands of visitors to Government House to take part in investiture and award ceremonies, Open Days, receptions and meetings, and travels widely throughout Queensland to support the activities of Patron groups. On Tuesday, in the afternoon, at Deception Bay, His Excellency the Honourable Paul de Jersey AC attended a Private Investiture Ceremony for Mr John Russell OAM and the Governor officiated the ceremony.

In the evening, at Masonic Memorial Centre, Brisbane, His Excellency attended the Celebration of Centenary of the United Grand Lodge of Queensland – Freemasons Queensland, and the Governor addressed guests and unveiled a plaque.
