Governor's Program

The Governor’s Official Program is comprised of a wide range of constitutional and legal duties and ceremonial and community engagements. Each year, the Governor hosts thousands of visitors to Government House to take part in investiture and award ceremonies, Open Days, receptions and meetings, and travels widely throughout Queensland to support the activities of Patron groups. On Tuesday, in the morning, at Government House, His Excellency the Honourable Paul de Jersey AC hosted Investiture Ceremonies for the following recipients of Australian Honours and Awards announced in the 2020 Queen’s Birthday Honours List and the 2021 Australia Day Honours List: Mr Peter Barry Kearns AM; Superintendent Mark Alan Kelly APM; Dr Jeffrey Stevens Kemp OAM; Ms Valerie Kathleen Lehman AM; Dr Bruce Gregory Lister AM; Mrs Geena Desiree Luckin OAM; Lieutenant Jessica Ann Lyons; Mr Paul Anthony Maguire OAM; Warrant Officer Sherylee Georgette Folkes OAM (Mil); Mr Jeremy David Mansfield OAM; Mr John Clifford Martin OAM; Mr David Henry Mattiske OAM; Dr James Jip McGill AM; and Mrs Norma McLeod OAM.

In the afternoon, at Government House, His Excellency and Mrs Kaye de Jersey hosted Investiture Ceremonies for the following recipients of Australian Honours and Awards announced in the 2021 Australia Day Honours List: Dr Ronald Gordon Meikle OAM; Professor Paul Christopher Memmott AO; Mr Kenneth John Mewburn OAM; Mr Steven Mitchell ACM; Mr Garry Anthony Molloy OAM; Mr Michael Bruce Hawkins AM; Dr Frederick Morgan OAM; Mr Desmond John Morris OAM; Mr Neil Charles Musch OAM; and Professor Colleen Coyne Nelson AM.
