The Governor’s Official Program is comprised of a wide range of constitutional and legal duties and ceremonial and community engagements. Each year, the Governor hosts thousands of visitors to Government House to take part in investiture and award ceremonies, Open Days, receptions and meetings, and travels widely throughout Queensland to support the activities of Patron groups. On Friday, in the morning, at Government House, His Excellency the Honourable Paul de Jersey AC CVO hosted Investiture Ceremonies for the following recipients of Australian Honours and Awards announced in the March 2021 Bravery Announcement and 2021 Queen’s Birthday Honours List: Mrs Cornelia Babbage OAM; Warrant Officer Russell Leonard Beck CSC OAM; Constable Cecelia Ann Jarvis; Miss Susan Dianne Johnson OAM; Mr Tony James Johnstone AFSM; Mr Timothy John Keeler AM; Professor Claire Louise Jackson AM; Associate Professor Sarah Jane Kelly OAM; Mr Richard Edward Kenny OAM; Warrant Officer Ricki Paul Kiely AM; Mr Brian James Boulton AM; Flight Lieutenant Andrew Luke Willersdorf CSC; Mr Victor Gregory Knowles OAM; and Mr Terrence Hugh McCosker OAM.
In the afternoon, at Parliament House, Brisbane, His Excellency attended the Order of Australia Association Queensland Branch's 2021 Secondary School Citizenship Awards, addressed guests and presented awards.
