Governor's Program

The Governor’s Official Program is comprised of a wide range of constitutional and legal duties and ceremonial and community engagements. Each year, the Governor hosts thousands of visitors to Government House to take part in investiture and award ceremonies, Open Days, receptions and meetings, and travels widely throughout Queensland to support the activities of Patron groups. On Saturday, in the morning, at Fig Tree Pocket State School, Fig Tree Pocket, His Excellency the Honourable Paul de Jersey AC CVO attended the School’s Sesquicentenary Celebrations ‘Back to the Pocket Festival’ and addressed guests.

On Saturday, in the morning, at Queensland Maritime Museum, South Brisbane, Mrs Kaye de Jersey attended and officially launched the book 'Arnie: Pearls and Luggers in the Torres Strait', opened the exhibition 'Indigenous Watercraft and Pearling' and addressed guests.
