On Monday, in the afternoon, at Government House, Her Excellency the Honourable Dr Jeannette Young AC PSM received the Acting Clerk of the Parliament, Mr Michael Ries, for the presentation of four Bills for Assent: Waste Reduction and Recycling (Strengthening the Container Refund Scheme); Youth Justice (Circuit Breaker) Amendment Bill 2026; Transport and Other Legislation Amendment Bill 2026; Criminal Code (Dangerous Driving) and Other Legislation Amendment Bill 2026. 

Following, at Government House, Her Excellency the Honourable Dr Jeannette Young AC PSM received the 25th Governor-General of the Commonwealth of Australia and the 24th Governor of Queensland, the Honourable Dame Quentin Bryce AD CVO.
