On Monday, in the morning, Her Excellency the Honourable Dr Jeannette Young AC PSM and Professor Graeme Nimmo RFD departed Government House for Official Travel to Bundaberg Regional Council. 

In the afternoon, at Bundaberg Regional Council Chambers, Her Excellency and Professor Nimmo met with Mayor, Councillor Helen Blackburn and Councillors for a working lunch and received a briefing.  

Following, at Childers Multipurpose Health Service, Her Excellency and Professor Nimmo received a briefing on operations, toured the facility and met with staff. 

Following, at Isis Cultural Centre, Childers, Her Excellency and Professor Nimmo attended the 25th Anniversary Commemoration Service of the Childers Palace Backpackers Hostel Fire and laid a wreath, and the Governor addressed guests. 

In the evening, at Isis Cultural Centre, Childers, Her Excellency and Professor Nimmo attended the performance 'The Palace: A Musical Commemoration of the 25th Anniversary of The Palace Backpackers Fire in Childers'.
