On Monday, in the morning at Toowoomba Grammar School, Her Excellency the Honourable Dr Jeannette Young AC PSM officially opened the Design, Engineering and Technology Centre, unveiling a plaque and addressing guests.

In the afternoon, Her Excellency returned to Government House from Official Travel to Toowoomba Regional Council.

In the evening, at Queensland Performing Arts Centre, South Brisbane, Her Excellency and Professor Graeme Nimmo RFD attended the Australian Chamber Orchestra's performance of 'The Devil's Violin'.
