On Friday, in the morning, at Government House, Her Excellency the Honourable Dr Jeannette Young AC PSM received the Clerk of the Parliament, Mr Neil Laurie, for the presentation of A Bill for Assent for Making Queensland Safer (Adult Crime, Adult Time) Amendment Bill 2025.

Following, Her Excellency departed Government House for Official Travel to Central Highlands Regional Council and Barcaldine Regional Council.

Following, at Central Highlands Regional Council Office, Emerald, Her Excellency received a briefing from Mayor, Central Highlands Regional Council, Councillor Janice Moriarty and Councillors.

In the afternoon, at Emerald Hospital, Her Excellency received a briefing on operations, toured the facility and met with staff and patients. 

Following, at Capella Agricultural Showgrounds, Her Excellency attended and officially opened the Annual Show, and the Governor addressed guests.
