On Sunday, in the morning, at the Longreach Cattle Yards, Her Excellency the Honourable Dr Jeannette Young AC PSM officially opened The Outback Queensland Cattle Drive, and the Governor addressed guests.
Following, at Cornetts IGA, Longreach, Her Excellency visited the Longreach Mural.
Following, at the Australian Stockman's Hall of Fame and Outback Heritage Centre, Longreach, Her Excellency unveiled an official photograph of Their Majesties King Charles III and Queen Camilla, toured the facility, and the Governor addressed guests.
Following, at Tin Shed, Mitchell Grass Retreat, Longreach, Her Excellency attended the Outback Independent Living Community High Tea, and the Governor addressed guests.
In the afternoon, at The Wellshot Hotel, Ilfracombe, Her Excellency received Longreach Regional Council Mayor, Councillor Tony Rayner, and Councillor Tracy Hatch, for a working lunch.
Following, at Collumption Creek, Ilfracombe, Her Excellency visited the Murray-MacMillan Dam and toured The Lynn Cameron Machinery Mile and Heritage Precinct with Longreach Regional Council Mayor, Councillor Tony Rayner and Councillor Tracy Hatch.
In the evening, at Smithy’s Camp, Longreach, Her Excellency as Patron of Opera Queensland attended the Festival of Outback Opera Ball.
