On Friday, in the morning, at Townsville University Hospital, Her Excellency the Honourable Dr Jeannette Young AC PSM and Professor Graeme Nimmo RFD toured the hospital. The Governor officially opened the North Queensland Kidney Transplant Service and addressed guests.

In the evening, at Townsville Civic Theatre, Her Excellency and Professor Nimmo attended the Australian Festival of Chamber Music’s Opening Night Concert – Reawaken!, and the Governor addressed guests.
