On Thursday, in the morning, at Government House, Her Excellency the Honourable Dr Jeannette Young AC PSM received the Honorary Consul-General of the Republic of Palau, Mr Kevin Hughes BM OAM.

In the afternoon, at Parliament House, Her Excellency presided over a meeting of the Executive Council.

Following, at Brisbane Girls Grammar School, Brisbane City, Her Excellency attended and officially opened the new Brisbane Girls Grammar Junior School, and the Governor unveiled a plaque and addressed guests.

In the evening, at Government House, Her Excellency the Honourable Dr Jeannette Young AC PSM and Professor Graeme Nimmo RFD hosted a dinner in support of Regional Mayors, and the Governor addressed guests. Guests included: Councillor Barry Hughes, Mrs Tammy Hughes; Councillor Alf Lacey, Councillor Ebanese Oui, Councillor Elsie Seriat OAM, Ms Sophie Gadaloff, Councillor Ronaldo Guivarra, Mr Chad King, Councillor Robert Poipoi, Councillor Kitty Gebadi, Mr Scott Allen, Ms Kristie Robinson.
