On Tuesday, in the morning, at Clermont State School, Clermont, Her Excellency the Honourable Dr Jeannette Young AC PSM and Professor Graeme Nimmo RFD enjoyed a tour of the school led by the four School Captains and read Government House children’s book ‘A Place for All Queenslanders’ to Year 1 students.

Following, at the Clermont Museum, Clermont, Her Excellency and Professor, together with Deputy Mayor, Isaac Regional Council, Councillor Jane Pickels, hosted a morning tea for members of the Clermont community, including emergency services personnel and volunteers who have assisted in the town’s flood response and recovery efforts.

Following, at Government House, students and staff of Wellers Hill State School visited for a tour of the House and gardens.

Following, at Clermont Hospital, Clermont, Her Excellency and Professor received a tour of the Clermont Hospital and Montcler aged care facility, where they met with staff and congratulated nurses Ms Colleen Johnson and Ms Juliann Symonds on 50 and 45 years of service respectively.

In the afternoon, at Lotta Latte’s Café, Clermont, Her Excellency and Professor Nimmo attended a working lunch with Deputy Mayor, Isaac Regional Councillor, Councillor Jane Pickels and staff.

Following, Her Excellency and Professor Nimmo returned to Government House from Official Travel to Isaac Regional Council.
