On Tuesday, in the morning, at Government House, Her Excellency the Honourable Dr Jeannette Young AC PSM and Professor Graeme Nimmo RFD departed Government House for Official Travel to Etheridge Shire Council, Carpentaria Shire Council and Croydon Shire Council and Cairns Regional Council.

Following, at the Fernberg Estate, students from Mt Gravatt TAFE visited for a guided tour of Government House and the gardens.

Following, at the Georgetown Primary Health Care Centre, Georgetown, Her Excellency and Professor Nimmo received a briefing on operations, toured the facility and met with staff.

Following, at Etheridge Shire Hall, Georgetown, Her Excellency and Professor Nimmo attended a Reception with members of the community, and the Governor addressed guests.

In the evening, at Latara Motel Restaurant, Georgetown, Her Excellency and Professor Nimmo attended a working dinner with Mayor, Councillor Barry Hughes and Mrs Tammy Hughes and interim Chief Executive Officer, Etheridge Shire Council, Mr Ken Timms.
