On Saturday, in the morning, Her Excellency the Honourable Dr Jeannette Young AC PSM commenced duty as Administrator of the Government of the Commonwealth of Australia, and the Honourable Chief Justice Helen Bowskill assumed duty as Acting Governor of Queensland.

In the evening, at Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre, South Brisbane, Her Excellency the Honourable Dr Jeannette Young AC PSM and Professor Graeme Nimmo RFD attended the Bravehearts Ball 2026, and the Governor addressed guests.
