Popular Christmas Lights return to Government House
The landmark historic house and gardens of the Fernberg Estate will be once again lit up in a magical light show that has become a must-see for Brisbane families at Christmas time. The free display will run nightly between 7.00pm - 8.00pm on December 9 to 15, 2022.
Her Excellency grants Assent to three Bills
Her Excellency today received the Clerk of Parliament, Mr Neil Laurie, and granted Royal Assent to the Integrity and Other Legislation Amendment Bill 2022, the Public Sector Bill 2022 and the Animal Care and Protection Amendment Bill 2022.

Governor receives Condolence Motion from the Legislative Assembly
Her Excellency was this morning presented with the Address of the Condolence Motion brought forward by members of the Legislative Assembly on the passing of Queen Elizabeth II, along with the book of condolences from the Parliament of Queensland.
Royal Assent granted to Appropriation Bills
Her Excellency received the Speaker of the Legislative Assembly, the Honourable Mr Curtis Pitt MP, First Clerk Assistant (Committees), Ms Bernice Watson and Sergeant-at-Arms, Mr Michael Watkin for the presentation of two Appropriation Bills, to which she granted Royal Assent.
Australian Sports Medal Presentations
Her Excellency will present Australian Sports Medals to Queensland Team Members who represented Australia at the Special Olympics World Games 2019 and the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games across three ceremonies on 23 and 24 November 2022, to be livestreamed here.
