Join the Festival for Commonwealth Friendship at Government House

Get ready for a joyful celebration of culture, connection and community spirit at the inaugural Festival of Commonwealth Friendship at Government House. 

What’s On:

• Live Music & Dance Performances: Be swept away by rhythms and moves from across the Commonwealth – from Afro-Caribbean drums to Pacific Island dances and everything in between.
• Global Flavours: Taste your way around the world with a delicious spread of traditional dishes and sweet treats.
• Bazaar-Style Marketplace: Discover handmade crafts, jewellery, fashion, and art reflecting the rich cultures of Commonwealth nations.
• Family Fun: Kids (and grown-ups!) will love free face painting and henna tattoos, perfect for a colourful keepsake.
• Cultural Seminars & Demonstrations: Deepen your understanding of diverse traditions, languages and customs with expert-led talks and hands-on activities.
• Don’t Miss the Grand Parade! The festival’s dazzling highlight – a spectacular procession of colour, costume and community pride, celebrating our shared Commonwealth heritage.

🚍 Free Shuttle Bus Service: Leave the car at home! Our free shuttles, departing  will make it easy to get to and from the festival throughout the day. Pick up/drop points will be:

• Milton train station, Railway Tce, Milton
• Milton State School – out the front of the school
• Government House

(* The first shuttle will commence at 10:45am from the train Station.)

Whether you're coming with family, friends, or flying solo, there's something for everyone to enjoy. Admission is free, all are welcome.
