The Office of the Governor manages personal information in line with the Information Privacy Act 2009. We will use the personal information you have provided to consider your request, and we will not give out your personal information to third parties, except for requests for Congratulatory Letters, where your details, when necessary, may be forwarded to other agencies including:
- the Department of the Premier and Cabinet (Queensland); and
- the Office of the Governor-General of the Commonwealth of Australia.

When the Governor is scheduled to attend a function arranged by your organisation, the Protocol and Administrative Guidelines will help ensure the planning process runs smoothly. Organisations wishing to invite the Governor to accept Patronage or another appointment must complete the Patronage Request form. Following a change in Governor, organisations that have previously enjoyed Vice-Regal Patronage should also use this form to submit a new request for consideration.Download Patronage Request (246 KB)
Health Safety Protocols at Government House
Due to the current COVID-19 pandemic, entry to Government House is subject to all guests following the protocols outlined in the Health Safety Protocols at Government House.
